Job Purpose
The Messenger will be responsible for collecting and distributing messages, documents, packages, and other items between offices or departments and to external business concerns. This role ensures efficient communication and distribution of essential resources within Mediclinic.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Messenger Services: Collect and deliver documents, packages, and messages within the hospital and to external business contacts.
- Control Risks: Maintain safety and follow procedures during the collection and delivery process.
- Provide Office Services: Assist with general office tasks and ensure smooth operations in the workplace.
Required Education
Essential:
- Grade 10
Desired:
- Grade 12
Experience
Essential Minimum Experience:
- None required
Desired Experience:
- Experience working in a hospital environment
Required Job Skills and Knowledge
- Familiarity with telephone systems
- Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Understanding of Occupational Health and Safety procedures
- Knowledge of stock control
- Operation of office machinery (e.g., photocopiers)
- Experience in mail and package distribution
