Job Advert Summary
Rand Water is seeking a Driver's Aide to assist Heavy Vehicle Drivers and Construction Plant Operators with their daily tasks, including cleaning vehicles, maintaining the yard, and performing general duties.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Valid Code 8 driver’s license.
- 1 year of experience, including:
- Tie down of equipment.
- Basic rigging and slinging (experience in this area will be an added advantage).
Primary Duties
- Loading and Transporting Equipment: Assist in safely loading and securing equipment for transportation.
- General Duties: Perform various tasks as required, including assisting drivers and operators.
- Vehicle and Yard Cleaning: Ensure vehicles and the yard area are kept clean and tidy.
Knowledge
- Tie Down of Equipment: Knowledge of how to properly secure loads for safe transport.
- Basic Rigging and Slinging: Understanding of rigging and slinging techniques for handling equipment.
Skills
- Proficient in tie down of equipment.
- Knowledge of basic rigging and slinging practices.

- Customer Service Orientation: Focused on providing good service and assistance.
