Job Description:
Alert Engine Parts is seeking a target-driven and enthusiastic Motorbike Driver to join their Bloemfontein branch. The main purpose of this role is to ensure the safe delivery of goods and adherence to all delivery procedures, ensuring customer satisfaction and efficient operations.
Specific Role Responsibilities:
Key Performance Indicators include, but are not limited to:
- Motorbike Inspection: Inspect the motorbike before departure and upon return. Ensure that the motorbike is in safe operating condition at all times.
- Hand Inspection Lists: Submit inspection lists to the Dispatch Supervisor every Monday for sign-off before receiving new lists for the week.
- Motorbike Issues Reporting: Immediately report any errors or issues with the motorbike, and ensure the motorbike does not leave the premises until the issue is resolved.
- Parcel Inspection: Check parcels with the supervisor before loading, following the New Dispatch Loading procedure.
- Delivery Responsibilities: Deliver parcels to customers along your designated route as per the route schedule and trip sheet. Ensure that all deliveries are completed on time and without errors.
- Customer Compliance: Ensure customers follow the Proof of Delivery (POD) procedure and the RFC procedure. Collect signatures for PODs and ensure all documents are returned and accounted for.
- Trip Sheet Completion: Sign trip sheets with the POD clerk, and ensure that all documents assigned to you are returned the next day. You are responsible for any outstanding trip sheets and will be held liable for any claims related to missing PODs.
- Delivery Restrictions: No stock transfers are allowed between customer locations.
- Motorbike Maintenance: Maintain and clean the motorbike, reporting any mechanical issues immediately to the Dispatch Supervisor.
- Delivery Issue Reporting: Report any delivery or POD-related issues to the Dispatch Supervisor in a timely manner.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: Grade 12 (Matric).
- Experience: At least 3 years of delivery experience.
- Driver's License: A valid driver’s license with PDP (Professional Driving Permit) is essential.
- Time Management: Good time management skills are essential to ensure timely deliveries.

- Pressure Handling: Ability to work effectively under pressure while meeting deadlines.
