Job Overview
The HR Assistant will play a key role in recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, and general HR administrative duties. This role is suited for someone detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead recruitment processes, including posting job ads, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and managing feedback.
- Support the onboarding process for new hires.
- Coordinate training and development initiatives.
- Engage in activities to maintain a positive workplace culture.
- Assist with HR disciplinary processes and documentation.
- Manage HR administrative tasks and compliance with internal and external policies.
- Maintain accurate employee records.
- Serve as a contact for HR-related queries.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Grade 12 Certificate; tertiary qualification in HR or related field (completed or in progress).
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in HR or a similar role is advantageous.
- Skills: Strong English communication (Afrikaans is a plus), attention to detail, and proficiency in HR software.
- Other: Must have own transport and a clean criminal record.
Compensation and Benefits
- Market-related annual salary with a Provident Fund.
- Additional Business Incentive Scheme.
- Permanent contract with standard hours (Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00).
