About the Role / Purpose of the Job
The Maintenance Operator will support the Maintenance Team by providing effective equipment maintenance assistance and reliability, while adhering to procedures and codes, to enhance the stability and sustainability of equipment.
Functional Outputs
- Complete job-specific tasks and checklists accurately.
- Conduct visual inspections of the working environment, ensuring safety standards are met, and report unsafe conditions to a supervisor.
- Apply job-specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Codes of Practice (COPs) to maintain housekeeping standards.
- Work efficiently as part of a team to achieve shared goals.
- Be mindful of how actions affect team costs and proactively act on cost-saving opportunities.
- Report on all task activities.
- Assist artisans with daily tasks.
Job Requirements: Qualifications and Expertise Required (Must)
- Grade 12/N3 qualifications
- Maths and Science (Advantage)
- Valid Driver’s License (Advantage)
- Knowledge of the mining industry (Wish)
- 12 months of plant experience on conveyors (Wish)
