Job Purpose:
The primary purpose of this role is to perform a variety of cleaning tasks to ensure that office buildings, fixtures, and other establishments are kept clean, hygienic, and presentable at all times. Cleaners will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness in workspaces, public areas, and other facilities. They will play a crucial role in creating a clean, safe, and pleasant environment for employees, visitors, and clients.

- Ability to perform cleaning duties: Candidates should have the physical capability and attention to detail needed for efficient and thorough cleaning.
- Basic literacy: Basic reading and writing skills are required, especially for reading labels on cleaning products and understanding instructions.
- Physical fitness and good health: Due to the nature of the job, cleaners must be physically fit and able to carry out physical tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for long periods.
- Ability to work in harsh conditions: Cleaners will need to perform physical labor in conditions that may be challenging, such as during inclement weather, or in areas requiring deep cleaning or heavy lifting.

Primary Functions:
- Sweep or vacuum floors: Sweep or vacuum various types of flooring, including carpet, tile, and hardwood, to remove dust, dirt, and debris.
- Wash and polish floors, furniture, and fixtures: Mop and scrub floors, polish wooden and metal furniture, and clean glass surfaces to ensure a sparkling, professional appearance.
- Clean kitchens and assist with kitchen duties: Wash dishes, clean kitchen counters and surfaces, mop kitchen floors, and help with any other kitchen-related tasks to maintain cleanliness in break rooms or food preparation areas.
- Pick up rubbish and empty garbage containers: Regularly empty waste bins and garbage containers, ensuring waste is properly disposed of in designated areas. Transport trash to waste disposal points.
- Disinfect and deodorize bathrooms and toilets: Clean sinks, toilets, urinals, mirrors, and counters in bathrooms. Ensure that bathrooms are sanitized and deodorized to maintain hygiene.
- Beat dust out of carpets: Use proper tools to remove dust and dirt from carpets by beating or vacuuming, ensuring a clean and dust-free environment.
- Dust and clean all furniture: Regularly dust all surfaces, including desks, chairs, shelves, and window sills, to prevent the build-up of dust and allergens.
- Move and transport furniture and goods: Safely carry and transport furniture, office supplies, and goods within the facility as needed. Assist with setting up or rearranging office spaces, moving boxes, or loading and unloading items from trucks or vehicles.
- Maintain order and cleanliness in work areas: Ensure that all areas, including storage closets, workspaces, and public areas, are kept neat and organized. Keep cleaning supplies and equipment in good condition and properly stored.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Maintain safety and hygiene standards: Follow all relevant safety protocols when using cleaning equipment and chemicals. Ensure cleaning practices align with company health and safety standards.
- Assist with special cleaning projects: From time to time, cleaners may be required to assist with deep cleaning projects, special events, or emergency cleaning requests, ensuring a quick response and quality service.
- Participate in training sessions: As part of continuous improvement, cleaners may need to attend training sessions or meetings to stay updated on new cleaning methods, equipment, or company policies.
