Job Purpose:

To assist Artisans by performing semi-skilled maintenance tasks and supporting operational and repair duties. The role includes basic civil work, equipment preparation, and general repair activities within the engineering and production environment.

Minimum Requirements:

Education:

Grade 12 or equivalent (NQF Level 4)

Licenses and Certifications:

Code 10 Driver’s License

Other Requirements:

Fluent in Business English
Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
Willing to travel off-site or stay overnight when required
Comfortable working in confined spaces
Basic computer literacy

Experience:

Prior experience assisting senior technical or maintenance personnel is beneficial

Key Responsibilities:

Support to Artisan:

Prepare equipment and work area for repairs
Clean equipment and work area post-repair
Move or lift heavy equipment and materials

Civil and Semi-skilled Tasks:

Perform general maintenance tasks including:
- Carpentry
- Bricklaying
- Painting
- Welding
- Basic office and facility repairs
Clean cooling towers
Conduct basic inspections on equipment and site areas
