Job Overview:
The Support Assistant will report to the Team Leader and is responsible for delivering high-quality, accurate, and consistent administrative support within the prescribed service level agreements (SLAs). This role focuses on routine but detailed tasks based on established standards and requires a patient, meticulous, and service-oriented individual with strong administrative abilities.
Purpose of the Role:

Produce consistent, high-quality work aligned with company guidelines and SLAs

Support Life Specialists and intermediaries with administrative tasks

Handle tasks one at a time, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

Develop into a technical expert capable of consistently delivering error-free outputs
Minimum Requirements:
Qualifications:
-
Grade 12 / Matric (Essential)
Experience:
-
At least 2 years in the Financial Services or Life Assurance industry in an administrative role

Working knowledge of industry-related processes and documentation
Computer Literacy:

Proficient in MS Office, especially Outlook, Excel, and internet applications

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Upload and follow up on various client and policy queries (e.g. premiums, claims, amendments, debit orders, changes of broker or beneficiary)

Capture applications within 4 hours of receipt, with at least 95% accuracy
-
Monitor incomplete applications and service requests, and communicate outstanding requirements

Perform daily routine support functions and maintain service standards

Provide administrative support to Life Specialists and directly to intermediaries

Generate and send quotations and statements of benefits to intermediaries

Assist with organising broker workshops

Order and manage stock of forms and brochures as needed
-
Complete annual assessments on required systems
-
Take full ownership of service levels and ensure they are met consistently
