Introduction

Are you currently unemployed and passionate about starting a career in insurance? Guardrisk offers a structured Learnership Programme designed to provide theoretical knowledge and practical workplace experience. Successful learners will work towards a Short Term and Long Term Insurance NQF Level 4 qualification, recognised by INSETA and SAQA.

Although this is not a permanent position, it offers valuable experience and potential career pathways in claims, operations, and other business units.


Minimum Requirements

To be eligible, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 qualification

  • 60% or more in Pure Mathematics, or 70% in Mathematical Literacy

  • 65% or more in English

  • Must be currently unemployed

  • Must be between the ages of 18 and 30

  • Must not have completed a Learnership before


Key Responsibilities

Process

  • Participate in both classroom learning and on-the-job training

  • Learn about the company’s products, policies, and systems

  • Compile a Portfolio of Evidence (POE) for SETA submission

  • Maintain a logbook of your workplace experience

  • Complete formative and summative assessments

  • Gain proficiency in company systems and operational processes

Client Service

  • Build strong relationships with internal and external clients

  • Respond to queries and provide quality client service

  • Offer suggestions for improving service delivery

  • Manage service expectations and meet service level agreements

People

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues

  • Take initiative in your own learning and career development

  • Support change and innovation in the workplace

  • Uphold Guardrisk’s core values and ethical standards

Finance and Compliance

  • Help identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities

  • Report and escalate unresolved policy issues

  • Participate in risk identification and compliance efforts
