Purpose of the Job
Medirite Plus Moreleta Park is seeking a dedicated Beauty Consultant passionate about beauty and skincare. The role involves advising customers on products, promoting and selling beauty products, and delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities

Advise customers on products and pricing

Promote and sell beauty products through excellent customer service

Maintain efficient operations, stock management, and shrink control in the beauty department

Give product demonstrations and help customers find suitable products
-
Identify customer needs and recommend cosmetics and skincare products
-
Drive sales through promotions, cross-selling, and up-selling
-
Ensure proper presentation of products on shelves
-
Explain product usage to customers
-
Stay updated on beauty products, trends, promotions, and events
-
Handle customer queries and escalate when necessary
-
Assist with ad hoc duties (excluding dispensary work)
Qualifications
-
Essential: Grade 12 qualification
-
Desirable: Professional certification in Beauty Therapy, Makeup, Cosmetology, or other relevant courses
Experience
-
Essential: Proven experience in a beauty and skincare environment in a similar role

Minimum 5 months of experience with point of sale/till operations in retail
Knowledge and Skills

Ability to demonstrate and promote beauty products

Understanding of products suitable for different skin types

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Solid product knowledge of cosmetics and beauty products

Excellent customer service and sales skills

Strong administration skills

Bilingual preferred (Afrikaans and English)

Engaging and friendly personality

Experience in retail/FMCG with knowledge of merchandising and promotions

Familiarity with payment procedures (cash, cheque, bank card, credit card, coupons, vouchers)
