Job Summary

Pepkor Lifestyle is seeking a Financial Administrator to support its Group Finance Operations team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing financial processes, verifying deposits, preparing journal entries, and maintaining reconciliations. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, communicative, and able to manage multiple priorities under pressure.


Key Responsibilities

  • Confirm and record direct deposit payments into head office accounts

  • Maintain accurate deposit records and support retail stores with payment queries

  • Handle foreign exchange releases and approval processes for large transactions

  • Clear and process direct deposits, journal entries, and over/under-sale issues

  • Reconcile balance sheet items and clear outstanding reconciling entries

  • Respond to internal and external finance-related queries

  • Assist with finance system administration and workflow processes

  • Contribute to month-end financial close processes and deadlines

  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and deadlines


Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12

  • Diploma in Finance, Communications, or related field

  • At least 1 year of experience in banking or finance administration

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  • Excellent problem-solving, numerical, and query-handling skills
