We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Sculler to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen by washing dishes, utensils, pots, and kitchen equipment, as well as ensuring that food preparation and service areas are kept clean and hygienic. This role is essential in supporting the smooth operation of the kitchen and maintaining health and safety standards.
Minimum Requirements
Grade 10 or Matric (preferred).
Previous experience in a scullery or kitchen environment is an advantage.
Good understanding of hygiene and food safety practices.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Wash and sanitize dishes, cutlery, glassware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
Keep the scullery and kitchen areas clean, organized, and hygienic.
Dispose of waste and recycling according to company procedures.
Clean floors, walls, work surfaces, and kitchen equipment.
Assist with receiving and storing deliveries when required.
Replenish cleaning supplies and report any shortages.
Follow food safety, hygiene, and health and safety regulations.
Support the kitchen team with general cleaning duties as needed.
