Job Purpose
To provide excellent customer service through accurate and efficient transaction processing. The Cashier will also support food service operations and maintain the cleanliness and readiness of the front-of-house area.
Key Duties & Responsibilities

Greet customers with a smile and friendly attitude

Handle customer queries and concerns professionally

Operate the till system and process transactions accurately
-
Count and verify cash float at the beginning and end of shifts
-
Ensure tills have sufficient change, till rolls, and ink/ribbons
-
Issue receipts and return accurate change to customers
-
Report and account for any till discrepancies
-
Maintain cleanliness of the till area and front-of-house
-
Refill beverage fridges and restock shelves daily

Assist in general food service duties and order preparation

Support front- and back-of-house teams when required
-
Ensure all paperwork and cash-ups are completed accurately

Prepare daily sales analysis

Ensure end-of-shift cash-up is completed with Admin Assistant/Manager
Minimum Requirements
-
Grade 12 / Matric (Compulsory)
-
3–5 years of experience in a cashier role (preferably in a catering or hospitality environment)

Confidence in handling money

Accurate and fast transaction skills

Honest, responsible, and detail-oriented

Strong organisation and time-management

Friendly, helpful, and customer-focused

Ability to work independently and under pressure

Experience using POS (Point of Sale) systems

Willingness to assist in other store duties when required
