Overview:

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a Health, Environment, and Quality (HEQ) Specialist to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations. This role supports a safe and healthy working environment through proactive inspections, training, reporting, and risk mitigation. You will be responsible for maintaining ISO standards, safety processes, and regulatory frameworks across the KC Vulcania site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, 14001, 22001, 45001 & 13485

• Maintain Minimum Safety Standards (MSS) at 100%

• Oversee CAPA, Change Control, Supplier Management, and Training Programmes

• Conduct SHEQ inductions, inspections, and internal audits

• Report safety incidents via platforms like LOGICS within 48 hours

• Liaise with clients, contractors, and site management on quality and compliance

• Maintain Document Control System and Deviation Reports

• Implement safety frameworks, conduct risk assessments and assist in accident investigations

• Promote and apply 12 Global Safety Rules & 5 Driving Safely Rules

• Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports related to quality, incidents, and improvement actions

Minimum Requirements:

Education & Certifications:

• Matric (Grade 12)

• SAMTRAC / NEBOSH / NOSA

• HIRA certification

• IOSH Managing Safely or local equivalent

• HACCP knowledge

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years in safety/HEQ role

• Experience across multiple warehouse/logistics sites is advantageous

• Background in environment, health & safety, or quality departments

Skills:

• Solid understanding of quality systems, audits, and compliance

• Strong knowledge of safety legislation, risk assessment, and technical warehouse operations

• Proactive, detail-oriented, able to work independently and collaboratively

• Good interpersonal, analytical, and reporting skills

Language:

• Fluent in English (verbal and written)
