Purpose of the Role

To assist with general maintenance, repairs, and facility upkeep. The role also includes duties as a relief driver/messenger and admission controller, contributing to the smooth operational support of the branch or office environment.


Minimum Experience

  • At least 2 years of experience in general construction, building maintenance, or handyman-related tasks.


Ideal Experience

  • Basic knowledge of:

    • Electrical work

    • Plumbing

    • Use and operation of power tools

    • Health and Safety legislation


Minimum Qualification

  • Grade 10 National Certificate (or equivalent)


Preferred Knowledge

  • Quality principles and practices

  • Health and Safety regulations

  • Internal/external client interaction

  • Basic computer literacy


Skills Required

  • Communication (verbal & written)

  • Telephonic and call-handling skills

  • Interpersonal and relationship-building

  • Basic numeracy

  • Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Planning, organising & coordination


Conditions of Employment

  • Clear criminal and credit record required

  • Must complete Capitec’s internal life-at-Capitec assessment as part of the application process
