Job Description:
Alert Engine Parts is looking for General Workers to join their Port Elizabeth branch. The role involves performing general warehouse duties, including stock taking, binning, picking, packing, checking, moving stock, and maintaining cleanliness in the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:
Binning:

Bin incoming merchandise and replenish inventory as per procedures

Assign bin location numbers to new products accurately

Report and update bin location changes
-
Assist in replenishment functions
-
Receive and check incoming goods according to company standards
Picking:
-
Pick customer and branch orders promptly to meet cut-off times
-
Only pick from bulk when necessary
-
Carry out work instructions from superiors
-
Follow procedures to ensure customer satisfaction
-
Assist in stock takes and maintain daily housekeeping
-
Perform double checks to prevent inventory loss

Meet operational targets consistently
Scanner Control:
-
Issue and book out scanners daily via electronic app
-
Inspect and book in returned scanners
-
Report damage and complete scanner issue spreadsheet
Qualifications and Experience:
-
Grade 12 or equivalent literacy and numeracy
-
At least 3 years in a warehouse/logistics environment (preferred)

Knowledge of spares, motor, or engine parts and warehouse systems
