Purpose of the Role
To ensure the efficient, safe, and timely delivery and collection of stock to and from customers, while maintaining vehicle safety, cleanliness, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct and complete daily vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness

Report vehicle defects, accidents, or maintenance needs immediately to the Branch Manager

Plan and navigate routes for efficient delivery schedules
-
Load and verify stock with the dispatch clerk as per the delivery note

Obtain signatures and confirmations from customers upon delivery
-
Submit accurate delivery reports and documentation after each trip
-
Maintain a clean vehicle at all times
-
Keep records and notify management when the vehicle requires servicing

Communicate professionally with customers and resolve delivery-related issues

Ensure full compliance with safety and security regulations

Report any delivery issues or delays to the Branch Manager
Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 / Matric (Essential)

Valid Code 08 driver’s license (Essential)

Minimum 3 years of proven driving experience

Familiarity with GPS navigation devices

Basic understanding of warehouse and delivery processes
-
Knowledge of safety standards and PPE requirements
