Job Description

The Communication Officer – Operation will support internal and external communication efforts in line with the company’s strategy and standards. This includes managing on-site communication, implementing campaigns, providing PR support, and ensuring effective stakeholder engagement across operational units.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement communication systems aligned to corporate strategy and best practices

  • Facilitate internal briefings, monitor information flow, and handle employee feedback

  • Identify operational issues and assist in communicating key messages to stakeholders

  • Develop and implement campaigns (e.g. safety, production, sustainability)

  • Compile and publish internal stories and communication materials

  • Organise mine visits, special events, and coordinate with relevant departments

  • Support onboarding communication for new employees

  • Ensure compliance with corporate identity standards

  • Provide PR support and manage divisional issues communication

  • Assist in research and reporting to validate communication effectiveness

  • Support sustainability communications and reporting

  • Uphold company values and promote a culture of inclusion and diversity


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree or Diploma in Communications, Journalism, or related field

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a communications role (internal/external communications, media, PR, or stakeholder engagement)

  • Valid driver’s licence (regular travel required)
