Role Purpose
CCBSA is seeking a skilled and experienced Stores Manager to lead inventory and warehouse operations, ensuring accurate, efficient, and cost-effective management of materials. The role includes team leadership, process governance, and collaboration with key departments to support production and operational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory & Materials Management

Plan and manage the receipt, storage, and issuance of raw materials, packaging, consumables, and spares

Maintain optimal stock levels and avoid stockouts or overstocking

Oversee regular stock counts and reconcile physical stock with system records
Warehouse Oversight
-
Ensure engineering and raw material stores run efficiently, safely, and in compliance
-
Apply best practices in layout, labeling, and FIFO principles
-
Maintain high standards of housekeeping
Process & System Governance
-
Ensure accurate ERP posting of receipts, issues, returns, and transfers

Lead root cause analysis for stock discrepancies

Drive compliance with audit and internal controls
Continuous Improvement & Cost Control

Identify and implement inventory and space optimization strategies

Minimize slow-moving or obsolete stock

Control warehousing costs
Stakeholder Collaboration

Work with Procurement, Production, Engineering, and Finance to align inventory with business needs

Participate in planning and production meetings

Coordinate deliveries and returns with vendors
People Management

Lead, coach, and develop the stores team

Drive accountability and high performance

Facilitate training and team engagement initiatives

Qualifications & Experience
Education
-
National Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related

Warehouse/Inventory certifications (e.g., APICS, CIPS) are advantageous
Experience
-
5–8 years in stores/inventory management in FMCG, manufacturing, or industrial sector
-
Minimum 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role

Strong ERP experience (SAP preferred)

Proven success in team leadership and process improvement
Skills and Competencies

Deep knowledge of inventory control and warehouse operations

Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel

Understanding of Lean warehousing, 5S, and SHEQ practices

Strong leadership, communication, and analytical abilities

High attention to detail and process discipline
