Job Summary

Ensure effective merchandising and coverage of client products in liquor stores, shebeens, and restaurants within specified call cycles. Maintain strong client relationships and meet sales targets through proactive sales and merchandising strategies.


Key Responsibilities

Callage and Coverage

  • Maintain call cycles across liquor stores, shebeens, and restaurants according to schedules.

Relationship Building

  • Provide excellent customer service to clients at liquor stores, shebeens, and restaurants.

On Shelf Availability

  • Achieve prescribed SKU distribution in target outlets.

  • Identify category gaps for clients and competitors.

  • Identify opportunities to increase client product presence.

Innovation

  • Ensure product visibility to consumers.

  • Ensure fast placement of new SKU innovations on shelves.

Pricing Compliance

  • Maintain consistent product pricing through regular audits.

  • Identify and report any pricing anomalies.

Point of Sale Implementation

  • Ensure client POS materials are installed according to guidelines.

Order Management

  • Follow up on unfulfilled orders placed by Spaza shops.

  • Assist clients with order-related queries.

Sales

  • Understand sales targets and develop plans to meet them.

  • Use an entrepreneurial mindset to increase sales and distribution.


Requirements

Education & Qualifications

  • Matric certificate (compulsory)

  • Sales certificate or qualification (advantageous)

  • Valid driver’s license (compulsory)

Experience

  • Strong sales experience and mentality (compulsory)

  • Merchandising experience

  • Retail experience (compulsory)

  • Liquor industry experience (advantageous)

  • Technological experience (compulsory)

Skills and Attributes

  • Tech savvy with ability to understand systems and tech products

  • Passionate about customer service and sales

  • Ability to self-manage and work independently

  • Entrepreneurial mindset
