Production Manager – Prestige Clothing, Caledon

Job Type: Permanent | Full-Time


Position Overview:

Prestige Clothing, part of the TFG Group, is seeking an experienced and motivated Production Manager to lead a high-performing manufacturing unit of approximately 250 employees. This role plays a critical part in ensuring on-time, in-full, and high-quality deliveries while driving efficiency, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement across the plant.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead production operations to meet objectives in quality, cost, delivery, and flexibility.

  • Implement and execute an operations strategy aligned to TFG D&M strategic goals.

  • Drive on-time, in-full delivery conformance, with a sharp focus on product quality.

  • Monitor and manage production planning, equipment maintenance, and cost controls.

  • Motivate and manage a large production team while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and performance.

  • Analyze financial and operational data to track productivity and reduce costs.

  • Embed Lean Manufacturing, 5S, TPM, TQM, and quick response principles into daily operations.

  • Develop skills within the team and align employee behaviours with TFG values.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Tertiary qualification in Clothing Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a relevant field.

  • 5–10 years of relevant production management experience in clothing/apparel manufacturing.

  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, TPM, TQM, and Quick Response methodologies.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; MIS (Management Information Systems) experience is an advantage.
