Job Purpose:

Provide administrative support to the department, assisting with various administrative functions as required.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide general administrative support to the department

  • Liaise with clients including councillors, staff, and the public

  • Develop and maintain filing and register systems

  • Review council minutes and circulars; inform management about relevant issues

  • Arrange conferences, seminars, presentations, meetings, and other departmental functions

  • Coordinate travel arrangements for management

  • Process invoices and assist with departmental budget management

  • Conduct research for Deputy Heads and Managers

Essential Requirements:

  • Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) plus an administrative or related certificate

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience

  • Computer literacy


Preferred Requirements:

  • Diploma in Administration (NQF Level 6)

  • 4 years relevant experience

  • Salary Range: R331,758.60 to R430,640.16 per annum
