Purpose of the Job
Join Africa’s largest retailer in an exciting logistics role within the Furniture Division. As a Transport Clerk, you’ll operate in a dynamic, fast-paced transportation environment. Your main responsibility will be to monitor, track, and report on fleet activities, while providing essential administrative support to ensure seamless and efficient transport operations.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare and complete daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.

Maintain accurate administrative records for both Dispatch and Fleet.

Track vehicles in transit and follow up on route progress, escalating issues where necessary.

Verify daily store deliveries against the schedule.

Check vehicle licenses, roadworthiness, and driver’s license compliance daily.

Liaise with the Mix Telematics (Mix Tar) team to address triggered events.

Perform general administrative duties as needed.

Capture and report fuel usage and traffic fines promptly.

Distribute daily driver behaviour reports to relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications
Essential:
-
Matric / Grade 12 Certificate
Desirable:
-
Diploma in Transport, Logistics Management, or a related field
Experience
-
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in administrative work
-
Experience in a logistics or transport environment is an advantage
Skills and Competencies

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Effective time management and organisational skills
-
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a changing environment

Knowledge of fleet planning and transport administration

Understanding of vehicle tracking systems such as Mix Telematics

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office 365
