Role Overview:

The Stores Clerk will be responsible for managing the accurate receipt, inspection, issuing, transfer, and reconciliation of stock and materials to support production. The role involves maintaining inventory accuracy, controlling engineering stores, performing stock counts, and using SAP to record all stock movements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and offload local and imported materials accurately.

• Inspect materials received from suppliers and reconcile delivery and returns notes.

• Maintain control of engineering stores ensuring correct quantity, condition, and location within SAP.

• Assist with physical stock counts and resolve discrepancies to improve inventory accuracy.

• Maintain First Expired First Out (FEFO) stock management.

• Communicate effectively with subcontractors, suppliers, buyers, and production teams.

• Capture stock movements in SAP accurately and in real time.

• Issue Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and manage stock dispatches for refurbishment.

• Uphold safety, good housekeeping, and GMP standards.

Requirements:

• Experience:

  • Some prior experience as a Stores Clerk.

  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar or related FMCG role.

• Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 (Matric).

  • Inventory Management Certificate (advantageous).

• Skills:

• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Basic knowledge of SAP or similar inventory systems preferred.
