Job Overview:

Join the HR team at the new Tongaat Distribution Centre (opening July 2025). As an HR Clerk, you’ll support the HR Officer and Recruitment Officer with key HR operations including time & attendance, payroll, and recruitment processes to ensure smooth HR functionality.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Education:

    • Grade 12 (Matric)

    • Higher Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Human Resources (preferred)

  • Experience:

    • Experience in HR, payroll, or recruitment is advantageous, but not essential

  • Skills & Competencies:

    • Attention to detail and problem-solving

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel

    • Familiarity with PRP systems and HR practices

    • Strong time management and communication skills

    • Understanding of HR policies (e.g., time & attendance, leave)

    • Ethical, team-oriented, and organized


Key Responsibilities:

  • Time & Attendance:

    • Monitor and report attendance, overtime, leave, and clock-in data

    • Maintain and troubleshoot clocking systems

  • Payroll & HR Liaison:

    • Coordinate with head office on payroll inputs (e.g., hires, exits, unpaid days, transfers)

    • Ensure accurate and timely data submission

  • Recruitment:

    • Support hiring processes

    • Help maintain staffing levels by sourcing replacements

    • Keep employee records current and respond to HR queries
