Job Summary:

Responsible for driving heavy vehicles and other vehicles safely and efficiently according to operating instructions and supervisor directives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 or equivalent

• Code EC1 driver’s licence and ability to pass Rand Water’s K53 driver test

• Minimum 2 years’ experience driving heavy vehicles and operating truck-mounted cranes

• Public driver’s permit required

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver and collect equipment and materials

• Assist with loading and unloading garden and domestic refuse regularly

• Conduct vehicle inspections and clean vehicles

• Report incidents and vehicle defects to supervisor promptly

• Ensure safe loading, unloading, tying, and stacking of materials

---

Knowledge:

• Safe working procedures

• Proper balancing and positioning of loads

• Job planning and execution

---

Skills & Attributes:

• Skilled in driving heavy vehicles and operating truck-mounted cranes

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
