About the Role:
The Desk Clerk (Night Shift) is responsible for coordinating administrative and guest-facing tasks during night hours, ensuring smooth communication between departments, updating records, and supporting operational needs. The role also includes support to the manager for staffing and housekeeping coordination.
Minimum Requirements:

Grade 12 / Matric
-
Administrative certificate (advantageous)
Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Prepare and distribute room attendants' task sheets
-
Update room status on the PMS (Property Management System)
-
Field calls from guests, suppliers, and hotel staff; follow up on actions
-
Monitor and report absenteeism; assist in calling replacement staff
-
Follow up on departure room readiness after 10:00 AM
-
Provide general office and administrative support
-
Act as liaison between guests and departments (housekeeping, maintenance, etc.)

Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and escalate major issues as needed

Manage email and phone correspondence professionally

Maintain order in time-sensitive environments and manage multiple duties simultaneously
