Overview:
A career opportunity exists for a suitably qualified candidate to join the Central Region team as an Admin Clerk: Reports. The position is responsible for the delivery of all laboratory reports to hospital wards and doctors' rooms, ensuring timely service and turnaround.
Minimum Requirements:

Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 equivalent qualification

0–2 years of relevant working experience

Ability to use own initiative

Strong administrative and teamwork skills

Able to handle confidential information with diplomacy and professionalism
Key Responsibilities:
-
Log attendance on the system in line with standard operating procedures
-
Ensure urgent results are prioritized by printing and managing delivery lists
-
Sort and organize reports for delivery according to hospital delivery routes
-
Deliver reports and collect samples as needed during hospital rounds
-
Maintain neat and updated hospital files by replacing preliminary reports with final versions
-
Verify patient information (ID number, initials, surname, bed number) to ensure accurate delivery

Contact relevant staff to resolve specimen or report queries

File raw data for traceability, following archiving policies
-
Maintain a clean working area per health and safety procedures
