Job Purpose
Thorburn Security Solutions is seeking highly motivated Reaction Officers to work in environments such as mining, corporate, retail, education, and estates. The officer will report to the Security Manager and be responsible for ensuring safety and security at client premises.
Minimum Requirements
-
Grade 12 or Grade 10/11 with more than 2 years of experience

PSIRA Grade A or B certificate

Armed Response Certificate
-
Firearm Competency (Handgun, Shotgun, and Rifle)

Valid driver’s license
-
Excellent report writing and communication skills
-
Willingness to relocate
Key Responsibilities
-
Protect employees, visitors, buildings, and assets
-
Conduct regular patrols
-
Monitor CCTV and surveillance systems
-
Control access points and direct traffic
-
Respond to alarms and emergencies
-
Complete incident and observation reports
-
Maintain security equipment
-
Follow safety procedures (e.g., fire prevention, accident response)

Ensure compliance with company and government regulations
-
Provide excellent customer service
