Main Purpose of the Job
To transport and escort patients, equipment, files, and related items between different departments in the hospital, supporting operations in delivering the highest standard of care.
Key Responsibilities

Safely transport and escort patients to designated locations

Assist with emergency evacuations when necessary

Perform driver duties as requested by the hospital

Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold Mediclinic values
Minimum Requirements

Grade 10
-
Previous experience in client service or dealing with the public

Valid driver’s license with PDP
Desirable Experience

Experience in a healthcare environment (e.g. care work)
Skills and Knowledge

Knowledge of patient rights

Kinetic handling techniques
-
Understanding of medico-legal risks
-
Use of two-way radio systems

Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office)

Knowledge of emergency evacuation procedures

Administrative skills

Familiarity with the Health and Safety Act and related regulations
