Purpose of the Learnership

To equip 10 unemployed, previously disadvantaged individuals—including 5 persons with disabilities (PWDs)—with the theoretical and workplace-based skills required to become Procurement Officers. The role includes coordinating procurement, managing contracts, and monitoring procurement schedules.

Minimum Entry Requirements

Applicants must meet all the following to be eligible:

Unemployed
Not currently enrolled in any qualification or learnership
No post-matric qualification (those with diplomas/degrees will be disqualified)
Grade 12 with English and Mathematical Literacy (Minimum Level 4 in both)
Valid South African ID
Ages 18–35 (in line with NSDS III)
SAQA/NLRD verification report of Matric results
Proof of residence

For People with Disabilities (PWDs):

Must submit proof of disability (Doctor’s certificate or ITRDD13)
Deaf or hard-of-hearing applicants must provide their own interpreters

Learnership Responsibilities

Attend scheduled classes and complete assignments
Participate in class activities and discussions
