Facility Assistant – Sky Services (Cape Town)

Job Purpose

The main purpose of this role is to carry out general warehouse duties, including loading and unloading export/import shipments and handling cargo acceptance and load-out.

Minimum Requirements

At least 1 year of general work experience in logistics/warehousing
Matric (Grade 12)
Must have own transport
Willing to work extended hours when needed
Able to work under pressure and self-motivated

Duties and Responsibilities

Accept deliveries and record them in Goods Received/Dispatch Book
Load/unload trucks and airline units using trolley jacks, forklifts, or by hand
Maintain cold chain by storing products in correct cold rooms
Pick orders as required
Inspect airline units for damage or issues
Perform labour-intensive warehouse work
Keep working areas clean, neat, and organized
Help maintain warehouse security
Identify and report defective items
Prepare shipments: pick, pack, weigh, label, and store
Assist in inspections with government entities
