Team Overview – Smart Services Nursing Team:
This team conducts in-person medical assessments at client homes or workplaces to support life insurance underwriting. Drivers are essential in ensuring healthcare professionals (HCPs) can meet clients reliably and efficiently.
Role Purpose:
To provide safe and punctual transport for healthcare professionals to client appointments and to deliver medical samples and documents in accordance with company protocols and service level agreements.
Key Responsibilities:

Safely transport HCPs to and from client locations in a timely manner

Collect and deliver laboratory samples, medical documents, and underwriting-related materials

Ensure confidentiality of client information at all times

Maintain vehicle safety, cleanliness, and readiness

Accurately manage administrative records related to driving duties

Comply with road safety and traffic regulations
Minimum Requirements:
Education:
-
Matric (Grade 12)
-
BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification
Work Experience:
-
2–3 years' experience as a commercial driver

Familiarity with reading maps, logging records, and handling logistical paperwork
Licensing and Certifications:
-
Valid South African driver’s license (Code 8 or 10 – Class A or B)

No traffic violations in the past 12 months
Preferred (Advantageous):

Advanced driving course
-
Certificate from an accredited commercial driving school
Skills and Attributes:

Strong communication (verbal and written)

Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure

High level of professionalism and discretion

Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Working knowledge of vehicle safety and control systems

Problem-solving skills and strong administrative capabilities

Proactive, team-oriented, and willing to work overtime as required
