Purpose of the Job

To execute Sasol’s fuel distribution strategy by ensuring timely, safe, and compliant deliveries to customers. This includes managing risks, reducing costs, improving documentation accuracy, supporting staff, and ensuring SHEQ compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure on-time, safe, and accurate fuel deliveries using both Sasol and contractor fleets

• Ensure compliance with delivery protocols, ISO, OHSAS, and SHEQ standards

• Assist with incident reporting and investigation, and implement corrective measures

• Manage absenteeism, refer employees to EAP, and enforce discipline when needed

• Supervise operating costs, PPE usage, overtime, and ensure cost-effective service

• Implement controls to prevent fuel theft and economic crime

• Handle labour disruptions, price changes, and product shortages with contingency planning

• Manage driver briefings/debriefings, document validation, and Logistics Command Centre communications

• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders

• Contribute to employee development through personal development plans (PDPs)

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / High School Diploma

• 3+ years’ relevant experience

• Knowledge of:

  • Transport logistics

  • Fleet management

  • Risk compliance

  • Fuel delivery processes

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work in high-pressure, risk-sensitive environments
