Position Purpose

The Creditors Administrator is responsible for handling a range of accounts payable tasks and clerical duties. This includes matching invoices, data capturing, coding transactions, and maintaining accurate records for the Fairvest Portfolio under the Investor Services division.


Key Responsibilities

  • Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents

  • Code invoices to correct general ledger accounts and project codes

  • Ensure invoices are properly authorized and check for overpayments or duplicates

  • Schedule payments to maximize early payment discounts

  • Process payments and secure required authorizations

  • Research and resolve vendor issues or refer them appropriately

  • Maintain professional relations with suppliers

  • Collaborate with other departments and update management on significant issues

  • Keep the work area organized and maintain confidentiality

  • Assist with general accounting and special projects as assigned


Performance Standards

  • Accurate and timely accounts payable processing

  • Prompt resolution of discrepancies and policy violations

  • Good communication with internal staff and vendors

  • Professional handling of accounting documentation


Minimum Requirements

Education:

  • Matric required

  • Additional qualifications in bookkeeping or finance are an advantage

Experience:

  • 1–2 years of accounts payable experience preferred

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Understanding of company purchasing policies

  • Familiarity with bookkeeping procedures and accounting software

  • Good math, organization, and attention to detail

  • Ability to work well with others and maintain confidentiality
