Job Purpose:

To register risk events to ensure risks are recorded, investigated, actioned, and reported in line with Nedbank Group Risk Management Policies.


Responsibilities:

  • Risk Management: Register and prioritize risk events, ensuring investigations and actions follow policy.
  • Fraud Handling: Address fraud-related queries and block reported accounts promptly.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring timely feedback and resolution.
  • Operational Efficiency: Prevent operational losses by following procedures and improving processes.
  • Customer Service: Resolve complaints swiftly and ensure all calls/emails are handled within SLA.
  • Reporting: Prepare event synopses and ensure complete, accurate data capture.
  • Personal Development: Complete training and certifications to maintain performance.

Requirements:

Education:

  • Matric (NQF 6) or related tertiary qualification
  • Preferred: Diploma in Criminal Justice or Forensic Investigation

Experience:

  • 2-3 years in banking or operational back-office within a financial institution

Skills:

  • Time management, conflict resolution, effective communication
  • Client service and problem-solving skills
  • Strong administrative and data-capturing abilities
  • Stakeholder management and teamwork

Knowledge:

  • Banking procedures, governance, risk, and control principles
  • Regulatory knowledge and business writing skills
  • Familiarity with relevant systems and software
