Job Purpose:
To register risk events to ensure risks are recorded, investigated, actioned, and reported in line with Nedbank Group Risk Management Policies.
Responsibilities:
- Risk Management: Register and prioritize risk events, ensuring investigations and actions follow policy.
- Fraud Handling: Address fraud-related queries and block reported accounts promptly.
- Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring timely feedback and resolution.
- Operational Efficiency: Prevent operational losses by following procedures and improving processes.
- Customer Service: Resolve complaints swiftly and ensure all calls/emails are handled within SLA.
- Reporting: Prepare event synopses and ensure complete, accurate data capture.
- Personal Development: Complete training and certifications to maintain performance.
Requirements:
Education:
- Matric (NQF 6) or related tertiary qualification
- Preferred: Diploma in Criminal Justice or Forensic Investigation
Experience:
- 2-3 years in banking or operational back-office within a financial institution
Skills:
- Time management, conflict resolution, effective communication
- Client service and problem-solving skills
- Strong administrative and data-capturing abilities
- Stakeholder management and teamwork
Knowledge:
- Banking procedures, governance, risk, and control principles
- Regulatory knowledge and business writing skills
- Familiarity with relevant systems and software
