Job Description

We are seeking an Ordering Clerk to handle the timely and accurate processing of orders, inter-branch transfers, and requisitions to meet customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive written requests from the Stock Planner for orders or inter-branch transfers.
  • Follow up with Stock Planner/Branches where transactions could not be processed.
  • Create orders and IBTs (Inter-branch Transfers) on K8 for processing.
  • Follow up with external vendors to ensure that orders are processed.
  • Generate weekly reports on outstanding orders and IBTs.
  • Provide feedback on corrective actions.
  • Monitor purchase orders placed by branches.
  • Generate monthly reports on outstanding orders.
  • Capture data on spreadsheets for management.
  • Clear outstanding stock reports monthly.
  • Ensure automatic purchase orders are processed; if not, handle manually.
  • Action orders below the minimum order value weekly.

Requirements

Education/Training:

  • Grade 12 (Matric)

Work Experience:

  • 2+ years experience in a procurement environment

Technical Knowledge/Skills:

  • Product knowledge
  • Good communication, time management, and organizational skills
  • Computer literacy (MS Office)
  • Experience with SAP (Purchasing, SD, and MM modules)
