Job Description
Dis-Chem Pharmacies in Midrand has an opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Debt Administrator to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the debtors book by efficiently collecting outstanding payments owed to the company.
Minimum Requirements
Essential:
-
Grade 12 (Matric) or relevant Accounting Qualification
-
1 – 2 years’ experience in a debt collection environment
Advantageous:
-
Debt collection experience in a pharmaceutical environment
Key Responsibilities
-
Open and maintain accounts according to standard operating procedures.
-
Conduct ITC checks on accounts before approval.
-
Receive and allocate daily customer payments correctly.
-
Report customer complaints and account irregularities to management.
-
Generate and review weekly debtors age analysis reports.
-
Contact customers regarding outstanding payments and obtain payment commitments.

Keep records of all correspondence and discussions related to customer accounts.

Update and maintain accurate customer details in the master data system.

Prepare and reconcile debtor accounts, ensuring outstanding queries are resolved.

Ensure debts do not exceed 60 days by maintaining the age analysis report.

Regularly communicate with customers to follow up on outstanding payments.

Resolve disputes and ensure all account-related queries are addressed timeously.

Adhere to Dis-Chem Policies, Procedures, and Health & Safety Regulations.
