About the Role

Tsebo Facilities Solutions is looking for a Project Manager to lead and execute critical and high-value projects efficiently. The role involves stakeholder engagement, project planning, resource management, and business development to support the company’s strategic objectives. The Project Manager will also be responsible for training and mentoring staff on project management processes, tools, and governance.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric) – Non-Negotiable
  • Degree in Built Environment (BSc in Quantity Surveying, Construction, or Architecture)
  • Project Management PMP Certification
  • 3 - 4 years of project management experience in construction
  • Experience managing construction sites and project management systems

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Lead multiple standard or complex projects
  • Engage with stakeholders from project initiation to completion
  • Provide pre-sales support, including scoping and cost estimation
  • Manage delivery through Project Managers while ensuring strict scope control
  • Act as the single point of contact for escalations
  • Oversee performance and ensure timely project delivery

Financial and Compliance Management

  • Manage and optimize budgets while ensuring cost efficiency
  • Identify and eliminate non-contributory expenses
  • Ensure legal, regulatory, and client compliance to prevent penalties
  • Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ), obtain quotes, and draft business cases
  • Understand contract penalties and ensure projects comply with contractual obligations

OHS Act & Risk Management

  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Ensure proper contractor control, training, and equipment handling
  • Maintain required risk assessments and safety files
  • Oversee waste management schedules from contractors

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and MS Projects
  • Effective communication, negotiation, and conflict management skills
  • Leadership and mentoring capabilities
  • Commercial awareness of business trends and their impact on the industry
  • Time management and resource planning
  • Diplomacy and presentation skills
