Key Responsibilities

• Protect Sibanye-Stillwater resources through access control, guarding, observation, and patrolling.
• Inspect buildings and infrastructure for security risks and take appropriate actions.
• Verify and grant access to legitimate employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Execute random and dedicated patrols on foot or by vehicle in high-risk areas.
• Ensure the safety of employees and visitors by following established security protocols.
• Participate in crowd facilitation and react to crimes effectively.
• Provide professional, friendly, and attentive security services.
• Manage entry and exit of people and vehicles per approved access control procedures.
• Conduct appropriate searches on entry and exit points.
• Report suspicious behaviors or potential security threats to the supervisor and request backup if needed.

Requirements

• Education: National Senior Certificate.
• Registration: PSIRA Grade C registration.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years in a high-risk security environment.
• Skills:
  • Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal).
  • Report-writing proficiency.
  • Analytical and self-disciplined approach.
• Licenses & Certification:
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Firearm competency certificate (or ability to obtain one).
• Other Requirements:
  • Proven South African citizenship.
  • Ability to work in a team and handle shift work.
  • Medically fit for the position as determined by Sibanye-Stillwater Occupational Health Centre.
  • Pre-employment psychological screening, credit, and criminal checks.

Advantageous Qualifications

• Crowd control management certification.
• Tactical firearm training and defense techniques.
• Advanced driving skills.
• Certification in the handling and use of firearms for business purposes.
