Qualifications:
- Matric Certificate is required.
Minimum Requirements:
- Previous experience in a waiting or hospitality role is advantageous, though not mandatory.
- Basic computer literacy to manage orders and payments effectively.
- Must possess strong numerical skills and the ability to work with figures accurately.
- Excellent customer relations skills to interact positively with guests.
Main Responsibilities:
Food and Beverage Service:
- Serve food and beverages to guests in accordance with the establishment's service standards, ensuring that orders are accurate and delivered promptly.
- Understand the menu thoroughly to provide guests with detailed information about food and beverage options, including any specials or recommendations.
Service Area Maintenance:
- Ensure that the service area is clean, well-organized, and appropriately stocked at all times to facilitate smooth operations.
- Regularly check and replenish supplies, such as utensils, napkins, condiments, and beverage stations, to enhance the guest experience.
Guest Interaction:
- Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, addressing any inquiries or concerns they may have.
- Strive to create a welcoming environment that encourages repeat visits and positive feedback.
Compliance with Standards:
- Follow all health and safety regulations, as well as the establishment's policies and procedures, to ensure a safe dining experience for both guests and staff.
- Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance, adhering to the company's grooming guidelines.
Team Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate service.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues to manage peak service times and special guest requests.
