Job Summary

An entry-level role in quality control or inventory management, the Checker I is responsible for verifying the accuracy, quality, and condition of products, materials, or inventory items. Tasks include checking goods, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards.


Minimum Requirements

  • Education: Grade 12 / Matric / NQF Level 4.
  • Experience: Up to 2 years in a similar role.

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Stock Control and Dispatch:

    • Verify goods during assembling, packing, and unpacking.
    • Oversee stacking, loading, and unloading of goods or containers.
  2. Record Keeping and Administration:

    • Record and maintain accurate documentation manually or electronically.
    • Complete bin stock documentation.
  3. System Administration:

    • Conduct system-related tasks as required by the supervisor.
  4. Compliance Checks:

    • Inspect vehicles for cleanliness pre-loading.
    • Weigh vehicle axles for legal compliance.
    • Ensure slides are properly closed and loads are sealed.
  5. General Tasks:

    • Perform daily cleaning of the weighbridge and loading area.
    • Maintain housekeeping standards at the loading facility.
