Job Summary
An entry-level role in quality control or inventory management, the Checker I is responsible for verifying the accuracy, quality, and condition of products, materials, or inventory items. Tasks include checking goods, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Grade 12 / Matric / NQF Level 4.
- Experience: Up to 2 years in a similar role.
Duties & Responsibilities
Stock Control and Dispatch:
- Verify goods during assembling, packing, and unpacking.
- Oversee stacking, loading, and unloading of goods or containers.
Record Keeping and Administration:
- Record and maintain accurate documentation manually or electronically.
- Complete bin stock documentation.
System Administration:
- Conduct system-related tasks as required by the supervisor.
Compliance Checks:
- Inspect vehicles for cleanliness pre-loading.
- Weigh vehicle axles for legal compliance.
- Ensure slides are properly closed and loads are sealed.
General Tasks:
- Perform daily cleaning of the weighbridge and loading area.
- Maintain housekeeping standards at the loading facility.
