Division: Distribution Business Segment

Contract Type: Apprenticeship


Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete the Cummins Diesel Fitter qualification, becoming a fully qualified technician
  • Diagnose and resolve technical engine problems
  • Participate actively in the Apprentice Program to develop your career
  • Follow all Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures to maintain a safe working environment
  • Disassemble, inspect, troubleshoot, and reassemble engines
  • Maintain and repair mechanical products efficiently
  • Comply with industry standards and ensure safe work procedures are adhered to

Key Requirements:

  • Strong Mechanical Knowledge: Ability to understand Cummins standards and apply mechanical principles
  • Proficiency in Product Repair and Maintenance: Able to disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble engines
  • Valid Driver’s License

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 National Senior Certificate (NSC) with subjects in Engineering Drawing, Engineering Science, Mathematics, and Diesel or Motor Trade Theory
    OR
  • NCV Level 4 qualification with a focus on Engineering Process, Professional Engineering Practical, Applied Engineering Technology, Automotive Repair & Maintenance, and Mathematics
