Job Overview

The Foreign Exchange Payments Administrator will handle payments, manage exceptions and queries, and support the team in providing high levels of customer service. This role requires managing workflows, assisting junior team members, and ensuring operational efficiency and compliance with banking regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Foreign Exchange Transactions: Book and process transactions according to policies and procedures, ensuring timely service delivery.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional service by understanding and meeting customer needs to enhance client experience.
  • Risk Management: Identify and escalate suspicious activities that may contravene Anti-Money Laundering/Know Your Customer regulations to minimize risk.
  • Process Improvement: Recommend operational enhancements to improve efficiency and service quality.
  • Payment Queue Management: Support the manager by managing and allocating work within inward and outward payment queues, ensuring requests meet SLA requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma (Matric or equivalent).

Experience

  • Banking: 3-4 years of experience in general banking.
