About the Programme

Valterra Platinum invites applications from suitably qualified Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) to participate in structured training and development programmes designed to improve employability and create sustainable career opportunities within the mining sector.

The programme combines institutional learning with practical workplace experience, mentorship, coaching, and on-the-job exposure to equip participants with industry-relevant skills.

The programme will run for a period of 8 months.

Training Opportunities

Successful candidates may be trained in the following occupational fields:

  • PTV Operator

  • Chesa Operator

  • Transport Incline Operator

  • Locomotive Driver

Key Responsibilities

Participants will be required to:

  • Attend and actively participate in structured training programmes.

  • Complete all required assessments, practical activities, and logbooks.

  • Participate in workplace-based learning and practical exposure.

  • Adhere to all safety, health, environmental, and quality standards.

  • Demonstrate commitment to personal development and continuous learning.

  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and workplace standards.

  • Participate in coaching and mentorship activities.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Grade 12 / Matric Certificate.

  • South African citizenship.

  • Person with a Disability (proof may be requested).

  • Medically fit for the specific role and mining environment.

  • Good communication skills.

  • No criminal record.
