Purpose of the Role:
This 12-month learnership provides an opportunity to earn a nationally recognised FETC: Long Term Insurance qualification (NQF Level 4). It combines structured classroom training with practical work experience in the financial services industry.


Key Learning Areas May Include:
Discovery Health – WCP Service Team (Call Centre environment):

  • Medical Aid client servicing

  • Claims processing

  • New business administration

  • Health benefits administration

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Organised, systematic, and methodical working style

  • Time management and prioritisation in high-pressure settings

  • Team player with the ability to work independently

  • Strong service orientation and adaptability

  • Openness to feedback and continuous learning


Education and Academic Requirements:

  • Grade 12 (Matric) is essential

  • Minimum required subject scores:

    • Mathematics: Level 4 (50%)

    • Maths Literacy: Level 5 (60%)

    • English: Level 4 (50%)

    • Second Language: Level 4 (50%)

  • An incomplete tertiary qualification is an advantage but not a requirement


Specific Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must not be enrolled in post-Matric studies or formal employment

  • Must not have completed a previous learnership

  • Aged between 18 and 25 years

  • Effective verbal and written communication in English

  • Basic computer literacy (especially MS Excel and MS Outlook)

  • Must be a person living with a disability
