Role Purpose
The Bookkeeper will support the Programme Office by maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance, and providing support in administrative processes. Duties include:

Recording financial transactions
-
Managing ledgers and payroll
-
Handling financial reporting
-
Assisting with compliance and audits
Key Duties and Responsibilities
-
Maintain and monitor financial control systems
-
Assist or relieve the Catering Manager as needed
-
Ensure profitability of the unit
-
Handle daily cash-ups and sales balancing
-
Manage function bookings and respond to customer inquiries
-
Monitor resale outlet operations
-
Conduct stock takes and verify delivery quality and quantity
-
Prepare weekly Profit and Loss summaries
-
Submit all required bookkeeping returns on time
-
Maintain consistency and accuracy in trading analysis figures
-
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
-
Assist with HR and industrial relations issues
-
Maintain and update the asset register
-
Follow up on short payments and client discrepancies
-
Prepare general ledger journals and reconcile accounts
-
Handle banking and payment requisitions
-
Liaise with unit managers for debt collection and invoicing
-
Maintain orderly financial filing systems

Qualifications and Experience

Tertiary qualification (advantageous)

1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role
