About the Role
Thorburn Security Solutions is seeking professional and motivated Grade C Security Officers to join the team. This role is key to maintaining safety and security within the motor industry sector. Successful candidates will report to the Security Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Safeguard employees, visitors, vehicles, parts, and company property

• Conduct access control and regular site patrols

• Enforce company security procedures and protocols

• Respond to security incidents and emergencies

• Write detailed incident and occurrence reports

• Maintain a professional and customer-friendly presence

Skills and Competencies

• Strong verbal and written communication (English)

• Interpersonal skills for dealing with staff, visitors, and clients

• High attention to detail

• Ability to spot and respond to threats or risks

• Problem-solving and decision-making under pressure

• Reliable, disciplined, and professional

• Ability to work alone or in a team

• Physically fit for patrol duties

• Knowledge of emergency response and access control systems

• Good report writing and incident documentation

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid PSIRA certificate (Minimum Grade C)

• Matric (Grade 12)

• Previous security experience (motor industry or manufacturing preferred)

• Familiarity with CCTV, alarm systems, and access control

• Strong conflict-handling and observation skills

• Physically fit and willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays

• Driver’s license and firearm competency for business use are advantageous
