Purpose of the Job
To support production through the operation of plant systems, coordinate maintenance and troubleshooting tasks, and ensure safe, stable, and compliant operation of chemical production equipment.
Minimum Requirements

Education:
-
High School Diploma / Grade 12
-
Occupational Trade Qualification/Certificate (e.g. Process Operations, Chemical Plant Operations, or similar)
-

Experience:
-
1–2+ years of relevant experience in chemical or industrial plant environments
-
Key Responsibilities
-
Operate plant equipment and control panels safely and effectively
-
Participate in shift handovers, toolbox talks, and RCA (Root Cause Analysis) sessions
-
Provide progress reports and feedback to supervisors and cross-functional teams
-
Conduct risk assessments and adhere to safety regulations
-
Maintain good housekeeping and waste management practices
-
Identify and report safety or equipment concerns
-
Participate in the development and delivery of training modules
-
Coach and mentor learners on-the-job
-
Play a key role during emergency situations
-
Support continuous improvement initiatives
-
Perform IMS (Integrated Management System) inspections
-
Assist with stakeholder engagement and interdepartmental communication
