Purpose of the Role:
To provide efficient and compliant secretariat and administrative support to Rand Water's governance structures in accordance with corporate governance principles and applicable legislative requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
-
CIS or equivalent qualification with a focus on company secretariat
-
2–3 years of experience in a company secretariat environment
-
5 years of proven experience in minute taking
-
Strong customer orientation and general administrative experience
-
Proficiency in MS Office Suite
-
Willingness to work irregular hours when required
Key Responsibilities:
-
Prepare and distribute notices, agendas, and meeting packs within set timelines
-
Attend and accurately minute committee meetings
-
Circulate minutes and communicate decisions/resolutions
-
Coordinate delivery and distribution of meeting documents
-
Book venues, arrange catering, and assist with travel logistics
-
Maintain and archive statutory registers and signed minutes
-
Ensure proper record keeping and accessibility of documents
-
Update the PIC portal with relevant information
-
Provide general office administration and secretarial support
-
Ensure compliance with best governance practices and legal standards
Knowledge:

Corporate governance and secretariat processes
-
Understanding of PFMA and applicable legislation
-
Familiarity with the Water Services Act and Companies Act

Public sector governance (advantageous)

Strong general administrative knowledge
